Your Holiday Gift Guide: 8 Unique Holiday Presents

Your Holiday Gift Guide: 8 Unique Holiday Presents

After a whirlwind of a year, the holiday season is finally here! There are many reasons to love this time of year — spending quality time with loved ones, creating memories, continuing holiday traditions, eating delicious food, and pampering your loved ones with gifts.

While there are many reasons to enjoy the holiday season, there are also many stressors. December has officially begun, and the process of finding the perfect gifts for our friends and family begins. Our staff brainstormed a few great gift ideas we’d like to share with you.

We all agreed upon one thing: experiences are much more unique, memorable, and special than physical gifts.

With that, we’ve come up with eight unique holiday gift ideas (in NYC and beyond) that will make your friends and family feel special:

  1. Broadway Show

Whether you’re looking for fun things to do in NYC or live somewhere else that features broadway shows, gifting broadway show tickets is always a great idea! Who doesn’t love a good Broadway show?

You don’t necessarily need to purchase front-row tickets to have a wonderful time. Purchase a standard ticket for someone who’d appreciate the show, buy one for yourself, and enjoy some quality time together.

Instead of opening a gift that’ll eventually make its way to the back of their closet (let’s face it), you’ll have a great few hours together and memories that’ll last a lifetime.

  1. Live Music

Similar to a broadway show, you could try searching online to see if there are any good live performances in the upcoming year. With huge stadiums like Madison Square Garden and the Barclays Center, NYC is guaranteed to have several of the industry’s hottest artists performing throughout the next year.

We realize Harry Styles concerts aren’t necessarily for everyone — NYC is also a playground for people who enjoy alternative music and more intimate crowds! Obviously, the key to purchasing tickets to live concerts is knowing the gift recipient’s music taste. If you’d rather not go, you could always gift two concert tickets to the recipient and leave who they bring up to them.

P.S. We don’t recommend splurging on live music or broadway tickets if you aren’t sure the recipient will absolutely love it!

  1. Massage

Broadway shows and live music are fun experiences, but these options include loud noise and large crowds of people. Know someone who’d rather relax and unwind? In our minds, massages are one of the best gifts anyone could ever receive (besides laser hair removal, of course).

Massages typically have a higher price tag, but finding an affordable massage or day spa in the NYC metropolitan area isn't difficult. You just need to do a little research!

  1. Dinner Reservations

Want to spend more time with a friend or family member? You don’t need to make some grand gesture to show your appreciation for someone in your life — gift them a card with a “coupon” for a dinner together on you. You could opt for the pizza place on the corner, their favorite restaurant on the Upper West Side, or that new place downtown they’ve been talking about.

When it comes to dinner reservations, the gift isn’t about where you take them to dinner. The gift is about creating plans to spend quality one-on-one time with the recipient!

  1. Day Trip from NYC

NYC has almost everything — except nature, fresh air, and that cute upstate charm! There are so many nearby places to visit that can be done in a day. If you have someone you enjoy traveling with and don’t know what to get them, try booking a day trip from NYC!

Creating an itinerary for a day trip from NYC is another great way to give the gift of quality time and unforgettable memories. This idea doesn’t take much commitment or planning like a longer trip: simply write in a card that you’re going to take them on one of these fantastic NYC day trips. There’s everything between wine tasting, zip-lining, hiking, and apple picking just a short car ride away — personalize the experience to an activity you and your gift recipient will enjoy the most!

  1. Museum Tickets

If you live in NYC, when was the last time you visited one of our city's world-renowned museums? Our city is filled with some of the best museums in the world, but most of us get caught up in the hustle and bustle of living in the city.

Our favorite museums include the Met, MoMA, and the American Museum of Natural History. Museums have a negative connotation, but they’re far from boring if you choose a museum that sparks your interest! You can check out a list of NYC’s best museums here. Maybe you’ll find one you didn’t know about!

  1. Facial

Who doesn’t love getting a facial? Maybe someone in your life hasn’t had a facial yet, and you want to share this fantastic service with them. Either way, a good facial will leave your gift recipient feeling confident and literally glowing. We have a blog post about some of the best skin treatments in NYC — check it out to see where you can get a customized facial in the city!

  1. Laser Hair Removal

Looking for a gift that keeps on giving? If you have a friend or family member who’s expressed an interest in laser hair removal in NYC, why don’t you get them started on their hairless journey? We have some of the best laser hair removal deals in the city. Gift them one year of unlimited laser hair removal at our NYC laser spa on one small area. They’ll think you spent a fortune — we’ll know you just spent $99. You can check out our other laser hair removal deals in NYC here

From our family here at Infinity Laser Spa to yours, we wish you a happy holiday season!
