What is full feet laser hair removal?
Turns out, many women wish to remove unwanted hair on their feet. Quite a popular treatment. But what hair removal method is the best?
Whether you use shaving creams or shaving gels, razors will always irritate the skin. Plus, the hair grows back immediately. And do you even want to shave your toes?
Waxing hurts. Depilatory creams are too harmful to the skin.
A feet hair removal treatment permanently removes unwanted hair. The feet cover the top of each foot including the toes. It does not cover the lower legs or ankles.
Women's full feet are a small area to treat. Indeed, a session takes up to ten minutes. Interested in removing more unwanted hair? Check out full legs or lower legs and knees laser hair removal package.
Will it hurt? Is it safe?
Waxing hurts. A lot. Especially on your feet. We’ve all been through this. The skin is thin, just on the bone. Women's full feet laser hair removal on the other hand does not hurt.
No, let us rephrase. Pain is not the right term. A women's feet laser treatment feels like pinching. Or it can also be compared to the feel of rubber band snapping at the skin.
You may feel some heat too.
Laser hair removal does not hurt. It may feel unpleasant. Yet, it is mostly comfortable. The feet are quite a sensitive area of the body.
Thus, the treatment will be quite tolerable. Some aloe vera gel will help sooth your skin.
You just need to follow your technician’s instructions.
How many sessions will I need?
Our full feet laser hair removal package includes six sessions. Each must be six weeks apart. This is because of the hair growth cycle. Laser treatments only work on hair that is actively growing.
The growth phase of the hair cycle is called anagen. It is the only time the hair and follicle connect. This allows the energy to pass from the former to the latter.
Since 20% of your hair is in the anagen phase, one session can target 20% of hair. Each successive session will treat an additional 20%.
The feet are not a hormonal area. However, based on many factors (hair removal history, hormone levels, etc), patients may still need additional sessions.
How do I prepare for a full feet laser hair removal session?
Feet laser hair removal for women is quite straightforward. It is a fast and convenient way to remove hair on your feet and toes. You can check out our tips to prepare for your session.
Avoid exposure to direct sun light. Do not use tanning beds and intense UV ray treatments. Indeed, artificial tanning puts the skin into an excited state that can interfere with your treatment.
Some medications can increase sensitivity to the light. This will make the laser treatment more painful. That is why you need tell your certified laser technician of your medical history before your session.
Clean your skin of lotions, creams, moisturizers, scented fragrances and makeup. Finally, you need to shave the night before or at lest three hours prior to your session.
When can I expect results?
Laser hair removal is a long-term hair growth reduction method. Yet, that does not mean you will not see results early on. Indeed, each session treats 20% of hair. That is why you can expect a 20% hair growth reduction after each session.
You will start to see your feet hair shed a week after your session. By the third session, at least 50% of hair will be gone. The success of your full feet laser hair removal treatment depends on consistency.
This means you must book each session six weeks apart. If you do not follow a strict schedule, you will interfere with the efficacy of the treatment. Therefore results may be delayed.
